Greg's post on Wanda sums it up pretty well. Kind of a disservice to the character and how complex they made her in WandaVision.

Oh yea, I forgot to say earlier. I guess Wanda just gives zero fucks that there was a form of Vision in her own universe that has all the memories of both the real and Wanda made Vision. While not technically her Vision, chances are they would be able to connect and bond and maybe find peace together. But nah, let’s fuck up the multiverse for kids that aren’t actually hers.

    Assume It's A Bit

Baffling to me that after Marvel worked so hard to undo the character assassination Wanda underwent with Disassembled/House of M they just did it again in the MCU

An inconsequential shift as the continents drift.

I... don't think she knows White Vision exists. haven't watched the WV finale since it aired, but I don't think anyone does except Vision who is dead?

Totally fair. I don’t think photos of her leaked like the Illuminati, but her name and the role were online for at least the past couple weeks. That’s when I started looking at more leaks.

True, I also don’t actively go trying to ruin the surprises for myself so that could be why it seemed like they kept it quiet to me.

There was one rumor. I remember seeing Charlize mentioned once last year and everyone assumed it was fake and there was no way.

The rumor never came up again, at least on the subreddit, as everyone was more curious about the rumored Illumanti members

Legitimately can’t believe they brought Anson Mount back too, figured they (rightly) wanted everyone to forget about that abomination of an Inhumans series.

Black Bolt’s death was brutal as hell

still can't believe they canonised Inhumans before Agents of SHIELD lol. his death was one of the craziest parts of the movie tho

Had a realy good time with this

The fucking 90s X-Men theme might have been my favorite moment. The joy I felt inside when I heard that.

I’m so conflicted on this movie.

On one hand, this is definitely a Sam Raimi film. Marvel’s Army of Darkness in a lot of ways. Some really fun, inspired sequences where they actually let him cook. Maybe the best filmmaker they have ever hired?

On the other hand, all the MCU stuff I’m finding exhausting at this point. All the cameos, yea that doesn’t excite me anymore. Clap like a seal on command cinema continues to be in full effect here.

I think Endgame was my end point with these movies. I haven’t loved any of them since then. I’ve been finding what DC has been doing the last few years more interesting.

An abundance of cameos was something I was anticipating and somewhat dreading but it didn't end up bothering me.

Not sure what’s the point of patronizing people that enjoy the cameos by saying “clap like a seal on command cinema is in full effect here.”

Just because you’re not into doesn’t mean people can’t genuinely like seeing the multiverse and cameos (including characters we’ve never had in the MCU prior).

The multiverse and all the baggage with it existed before the MCU. Marvel is merely diving into what the comics have already been doing. Seeing alternate versions of characters is the nature of the comic book multiverse.

The thing with the cameos in this is that, like, superheroes do tend to form teams in this multiverse. So why not take that chance to have some fun with who is on that team, given that we have access to a whole multiverse of potential cameos? I was especially hyped to see Lashana Lynch show up as Captain Marvel. And seeing live action Captain Carter.

I will say though that I also can’t stand when people clap for stuff in the theater. It’s like, who are you clapping for. And also it drowns out dialogue while they’re busy cheering and clapping for goddamn John Krasinski. So in that sense it definitely is annoying, but that’s the audience’s fault, not the movie’s.

I will admit that when Reed was revealed I involuntarily clapped one single time and then realized my mistake lol

I typically see big movie releases on Saturday afternoons in Dolby, but I had a friend that couldn't make it, so we just said screw it and went to a smaller/older theater last night and boy was it a downgrade. I'm seeing it again on Saturday, in Dolby and I'm sure I'll enjoy it even more.

i mean, they used the same actor. But that doesn’t mean it’s the same character from the show.

my theater experience was vastly different. When the Illuminati was introduced there were some gasps but nobody clapped or shouted, thank god. So I don’t think we can blame the movie for this one.
