If 2 and 3 are successful, then 4 and 5 will happen.

I’m more interested in there being more Avatars than I am in there being another 30-40 Marvel Studios films for the next decade or so.

But hey, at least Sam Raimi’s Scarlet Witch in the Multiverse of Madness looks like it could be upper tier Marvel? This, Thor, Black Panther, and Guardians is a pretty promising stretch of cape movies.

Not to forget out of those 30 - 40 Marvel movies we are getting at least 5 or 7 Charlie Cox appearances.

But, yes, the Raimi, Thor, Black Panther run is exciting (as well as Guardians Holiday Special).

The Guardians 2, Ragnorak, Black Panther 1, & Infinity War run was top-tier. Probably my favorite set of consecutive releases.

The first Avatar only did well because the director and the new effects at the time. The story was so dull and predictable. Plus didn’t it come out during the last 3D boom? I’m not sure people care enough about Cameron anymore. Or the improved effects anymore considering how far CGI has come on since.

The brightest and most pompous minds of the Marvel Universe decide they know better than everyone else and should pool their resources to help fight threats that they only trust themselves to handle, because they're pricks.

Typically made up of Iron Man, Mr. Fantastic, Namor, Black Bolt, Dr. Strange, and Professor X.

The Illuminati is truly one of my favorite retcons Marvel has ever done cause it was literally just "You know all the bullshit you assume the resident elitist assholes try to do behind closed doors? Well they do all of that and more"

So does the trailer make it seem like he's being recruited? Cause my initial reaction was he was in trouble.

No idea. Lots of things have been changed in adaptation from the comics to the MCU, so it's pointless to look at the comics as anything more than a rough guide of potential outcomes.

I’m going to guess the Illuminati will have some sort of involvement with the mid or post credits scene setting up the introduction of a new member or looking into the threat of “something coming” (Kang) or some such. Just got a feeling.

Based on what we know for sure and what’s rumored, this version of the Illuminati feels like it borrows more from Hickman’s Council of Reeds, with a dash of the Illuminati in his New Avengers run, than the earlier version of the Illuminati. And by that I mean, it’s more of a multiversal organization than any particular universe’s secret super group.
