So glad i unfollowed that thread. Like you said things aren't that cut and dry/black and white. It's ok not to know what you want to do yet. Honestly the whole thing still really bums me out to talk about but yeah I didn't cancel it either and will probably be keeping it. I bought it before everything happened. And I won't be supporting them going forward but imo this doesnt apply it's like the last thing ever I will get from them so I might as well wait and see. Until people finally started getting them we had no idea exactly what we were getting.

 

I thought "Retrospecter" would be a cool band name, so I googled it and came across this band, unsurprisingly called Retrospecter. Halfway through their latest release and it's pretty good:

 

Without even checking it out I knew who one of the sanctimonious people would be.

Checked it out just now. I wasn’t wrong.

 

I bet I know too. We don't need to say their name though... god forbid if they feel slighted.

Off and on there has been some good discussion in there, but the judgment and seeming inability to allow others to make their own decisions is insufferable.

Hey thanks for the well wishes. It’s not my appendix. Something weird going on with bloodcells and a possible infection. I should know more in a few days, gonna have some more tests in the coming week.

The primary victim herself said she doesn't care if people still listen to Brand New, then why would someone with nothing to do with these events have so much to say about it.

I wish we lived in a world where BN was still welcomed on Long Island sadly that ship has sailed eh. Will Coasta ever release anything else? Personally I doubt it.

 

I didn’t cancel my vinyl, I’m keeping it. I did cancel my SciFi T-shirt. I won’t rep the band by wearing their stuff or promote their music to anyone. I won’t give them any sort of financial support or backing ever again. Hell i probably won’t talk about them again outside of my wife and close friends. But regardless of what has been done, the music still means something to me and always will. People can judge me for still keeping the record, or still listening to those songs and that’s fine.

 

Yeah I'm glad I didn't end up buying the Sci Fi tshirt. Came close but didn't end up getting it. I would of just cancelled it too if I did tho.
