"Soil" randomly popped into my head today and I thought this would make a good avatar.

 

He just said by the end of 2017. He said that same thing last year and announced Not The Actual Events 6 days before it released on the 28th. So within the next 3 weeks unless he pushes it back.

@Colin Your Enthusiasm Just listened to Hail The Sun's Secret Wars EP! Good recommendation! The Anthony Green comparisons are obvious. Vocally, it's definitely more similar to Saosin than Circa Survive. I really enjoyed the vocals though. I'm not quite ready to say that I prefer him to Anthony, but I think they're both really talented! I'd like to see them live sometime. You don't see too many drummers that also the primary vocalist.

Musically some of the parts remind me of The Fall Of Troy and some parts even remind me a bit of The Dillinger Escape Plan. My favorite songs so far are Repellent and Secret Wars. Definitely a quick listen though and I see myself going back to it. I'll have to check out their past work too :)

He just sings live now... got a drummer for touring (maybe a permanent member, I'm not sure).

He also sings for Sianvar (also features members of Dance Gavin Dance, Stolas and A Lot Like Birds)

It's Comfortably Numb. The bassline/root notes of the guitar over the bridge that starts around 2:40 (after the feedback) is the same as the verses in Comfortably Numb.

Nice man very glad that you enjoyed it. Your write up made me listen to it right now. Definitely dig the vocals as much as AG and that's saying a lot obviously. And I agree it's rare for sure. Woud be interesting to see how that works live. He's in a band called Sianvar too. The cover for their new album was actually made by Colin from Circa nice name of course and super talented dude if you've seen some of his other work before.

Yeah they’re making me feel bad in the BN thread because I didn’t cancel my limited vinyl. I just didn’t know what to do. Things aren’t that simple, I didn’t know if I was going to keep in and tuck it away or sell it and donate to RAINN

 

The sanctimony and outright aggression in that thread is off-putting to say the least.
