I'm just going to wait for that LotS full length to drop. I've read a bit about them but don't want to go in with preconceived notions other than the Tool / Mastodon connection.

 

I'll leave this here if you want it: I think I like this more than anything I've heard from Mastodon in a while.

Good. The last couple Mastodon releases have been good but pale in comparison to Remission / Leviathan.

 

It's the "bonus" edition. I remember asking for it for christmas in 97-98? and being disappointed I didn't get that bonus disc! Album still rules.

 

One of my favorite songs of all time!

 

Anyone dig the NIN ep? It has some decent tracks on it imo.

 

I learned how to play that whole record on guitar when it came out. I thought I was hot shit... there is nothing technical about Darron's style.

The first time I saw the non-red album cover I was like "WTF is that!?" I still think it's terrible compared to the red version. And I think I still have that bonus disc in a box somewhere.

I never knew there even was a red version until now that's crazy!!!! I use to be really into SOAD. I was playing them on Friday!

 

Can't Swim is pretty good. I was expecting a lot more energy from their live set when I saw them on the FYS RoDT tour.

 

Good luck with that btw. And while we're at it Black Foxxes are worth mentionning in case you aren't familiar.

Playing some tracks on shuffle. Last 3 played have been NIN, Can't Swim and now Black Foxxes notice a rec trend there. Pines by Black Foxxes is the closer and it rules.

 

If you need a job I am always in need of a new punching bag for my training. Conventional ones break on me, and my last one died. You’ll be fine though, most likely.
