Tj also just has this aura about him when he's performing. Uses a mic stand for a band that by normal standards wouldn't for a vocalist. The way he moves and sounds onstage, how he throws the mic stand up and down...Idk how to explain it. He's just got a rock n roll element to his performance that is captivating.

 

I've greatly enjoyed catching up on this thread on this Friday afternoon. First things first I love you all. It makes me happy that we have been able to transfer the magic from the Sci Fi thread over here. Honestly the whole BN thing still bums me out and this thread is therapeutic.

@Larry David aka LD aka Adam Curb rewatch update. We are on episode 3 of Season 2 but tonight we will be watching the one hour special: Larry David: Curb Your Enthusiasm (TV Movie 1999) - IMDb and the Bob Costas interview. Gf is starting to warm up to it (finally!)

@Kingjohn_654 spinning the new Movielife (again!!) and to my surprise I'm enjoying it more and more. Glad that I finally decided to listen.

 

You're in for a real treat on Come Now Sleep and Hell or High Water (make sure you listen to Gates as the closer tho DON'T end it with Capo) TJ, Cody's brother is not on CNS at all and on HOHW he's on the first track and Gates only. Those 2 records are excellent and so different from the debut. Tbh I never completely listened to their debut and been meaning to for awhile now. I like The Widow but really need to revisit the rest of the album again.

 

Just got done with Son I Loved You At Your Darkest, and it was incredible! Can't wait to check out the other two.

Anyone know why "Gates" isn't on Apple Music or Spotify? It's grayed out

I love the closer on the new Movielife record Hearts. So different and I guess that's why it stands out. But yeah the album is solid front to back. Will be listening to it again for some time. Lyrics are underrated imo.

@Kingjohn_654 or anyone else heard Vinnie's solo albums? Came out with a new one this year and the first one I never got around to it but was going to check it out. Still on my watchlist or as I like to tag stuff on RYM ''want to hear it. When it's a movie it's ''want to see it''.

It's weird because it's on the iTunes store but wasn't actually included with the album so the closer is Capo but it really should be GATES.

 

You also don't need to walk with a cane yet, like all of us. Enjoy your youth, kid.

I love the EP. I've only listened to the new one a couple of times.

 

Around the holidays I like to use a candy cane. More festive you know. Wish I was going to the world juniors in Buffalo and we can all hang out. You think your wife and my gf would get along lol

 

I think so too! I don't think my wife would be up to going since she's REAL pregnant though ;)
