I saw them front row on the rail

Before that I saw them at Outside Lands I was quite a bit back and everyone around me talked the whole fucking time. PEOPLE TALKED THROUGH THE QUIET BUILD OF EXIT MUSIC

Bunch of complainers at least you've seen Radiohead live. One day maybe I will.

    I saw Radiohead at Lollapalooza.

Was originally going to split off from my friends completely, since they are losers who were not going to Radiohead. I usually split off from people for a good portion (if not most) of the day at festivals. At the last minute though someone from another group we met up with said he was going and we were friends from college (not great friends, but friends), so I thought "sure it'll be fun to see them with someone". I should've known it would be better to go alone. Before Radiohead even started he was really trying to force friendships with people around us in the crowd. Not saying you shouldn't talk to people around you, but he like wouldn't leave these people alone who clearly weren't interested in talking to him, and he's apparently feelin' pretty good at this point too. The show starts it's going great, but then eventually he starts to just fall apart. I don't know if he took something - he claims he didn't but I don't buy it - or if he was just really drunk, but he could barely stand up and was just an overall mess. I had to practically carry him out of the crowd and sat him down towards the back. It just completely ruined the whole thing, which is pretty infuriating with a band like Radiohead. Who knows when or if I'll see them again? AND he was trying to get me to leave early and I was like either sit there and shut up or leave by yourself.

Tl;dr: People suck. Festivals are better alone (unless you know your group will actually be on the same page as you).

Ive only been to one big festival, Riot Fest in 2014. I went with a group of four close friends, we were split most the day but would find each other when our schedules overlapped. I’m glad they weren’t overbearing like that.

I could only go to festivals with my girlfriend (who has the same taste as me pretty much). Too difficult coordinating everyone’s schedules

All you American folk, 100% catch Arkells the next time they come near your town. They put on an incredible live show and are the exact kind of music this site goes crazy for while somehow not yet huge in the US

Yes...but a thing isn't beautiful because it lasts

As a father, reading this makes me immediately want to force punt the kid like a Jawa in The Force Unleashed. Not an elegant internal response, obviously, but "boys will be boys" is cancer. You don't get a free pass to be an asshole because TESTOSTERONE, no matter the age. Billing the parents is a good idea if you're comfortable with the confrontation.

It's so bluntly dismissive. You can tell there's no thought process, no logical or empathetic reaction. Just a metaphorical brush off the ol' shoulder.

  22. Cannot imagine not immediately assuming financial responsibility for a situation a child I am responsible for created

Parents with the "my child does no wrong" mentality are maybe just the worst people
