Nice, that’s a great choice. I have names picked out if I have sons but I haven’t been able to think of names if I have daughters

Oy vey. My fri be mmmmdragged me to s club. This is not me scene. It just Bell seems so predatory l. I’m exactly sure how to fix rock .here. Most people are jusy traveling to different girls and have the audacity to just like grind on hem and I f els fucked up. I dunno how to explain it, but i don’t have that in m: . And not like a “holier than thou” thing. Like w people enjoy this, clearly, fineF but, it is so the opposite of what I know

    Hello everyone!

I’ve been informed that it’s time to watch Frozen.

Tonight I’m going to the Thrice/Circa Survive show so that should be fun!

Hot(?) take: clubs suck, and always have. The dark environment + mass of bodies + alcohol are a breeding ground for inconsiderate, unconsensual, predatory behavior. Every time you step on some typically bass-pounded, strobe-lit dance floor, there is always at least a few guys getting away with moves they shouldn't even be attempting. I used to engage in "audacity" years ago, and shame from those years is still enough to give me that sick, acid reflux stomach feeling. Hold on to your convictions, they're not misplaced, and I'd venture to say more people privy to this mindset wouldn't exactly be a bad thing.

Give me a quiet tavern, craft IPA, Tom Waits, and a pool table over that any day now.

What I was trying to say is that I feel pretty uncomfortable at clubs. A lot of the behavior seems almost predatory in nature. Like, my friends, who were there to just dance with each other, were constantly getting barraged by dudes aggressively trying to dance with them. So, is that behavior just acceptable all of the sudden when it’s in a club? It’s bizarre. Also, the music was trash. I can’t pretend to dance to something I dislike, feels inauthentic. I need to open up my own club.

Did the same with Thor: Ragnarok last weekend.
Do you prefer socially watching movies with friends and enjoying their reactions/comments, or does dissecting a film alone without interruptions interest you more?

I liked going to clubs when I was...20? 21? It didn’t last long and I quickly came to loathe them; and still do 10 years later. Yeah it’s nice to dance with a girl, but I’m not a creep so I felt awkward approaching a girl I didn’t know and usually just stood there. Music was trash, as you said. And someone almost always fights someone and you get bumped into, a drink splashed on you because they bumped into someone, or accidentally punched. No thanks.
