I'm sorry man, that's rough. It's especially hard to get out of those habits when you're dealing with such shitty situations, but the fact you're understanding how it's affecting you is important to start with. I hope you can find some peace soon friend!

I was walking home drunk about ten years ago. I took a short cut through a construction site, and fell in a trench. I was wedged in pretty tight, and it was a good thing I was holding my phone because I couldn’t really move my arms. I called my buddy who eventually found me and was able to dig the dirt out around my shoulders with some rebar so I could get out.
My wife was pissed the next day because I just crawled into bed, and the sheets were covered in mud and blood.
It was a good thing I had kids, that’s what finally put an end to my drunken shenanigans.

Luckily all of my shenanigans were in high school and my then-girlfriend/now-fiancee made me realize how ridiculous I was back then.

 

I came around when I was 30. Lol

 

I'm definitely fortunate to have come around when I was 16 lol.

I was a class clown in high school, but over all a very good boy

Then my twenties hit.

I come from a relatively poor family, but because of the fact that my uncle was the principal, I was able to go to a private high school for cheap and we had these kids there. It blew my mind. There was one girl who had like 4 siblings and every single one of them got a brand new car on their 16th birthday. And I don’t mean a Toyota, I’m talking Range Rovers and nice trucks. Another kid literally lived in a mansion down the road from Billie Joe Armstrong. It was alarming, I wish I knew that life lol

 

Not yet, I need to though. Not sure why it says Nashville though. Jesse lives like 25 minutes from me haha

My best three friends in hs all came from affluent af families. One dude got an Escalade brand new and then decided he didn't like it, so they got him a bigger suv lol.

Sounds like this rich guy from my high school who crashed his Dodge Viper because he was driving like an asshole. His parents response, they got him a Mustang?

 

Then one time, mr, him and another buddy were playing call of duty, he bought the maps, then didn't have storage space, then said he didn't want to play them anyway lol.

 

Omg this reminds me exactly of this other kid I was kinda friends with who was also very affluent. Playing video games with him was the absolute worst.

 

He was the kid whose Runescape account I took over without his knowledge and stole all his stuff. He deserved it
