I haven’t played a Zelda game since Majoria’s Mask

 

Back home I have a Zelda wall. I have a master sword, the Hylian shield, posters, and a shit ton of figurines and statues. Not sure if I have any pictures of it though.

Fun fact: I’ve posted about this in another thread but every time the Zelda Symphony of the Goddesses comes into town my romantic relationship ends. It’s a curse.

i dont enjoy Majoras Mask NEARLY as much as i know i should

 

Not really a hot take imo. It’s cool, but it’s hard to compare it to other Zelda games cause it’s just so different.

 

Like, it’s the afterbirth of Ocarina of Time. It was literally pushed out in like a year or something

 

So many people online just LOVE Majora though, and i honestly.... i dont know. i play it and i just get stressed out / frusterated / confused.

 

For the record, I really like it, but I totally understand why it’s seen as lesser by some

it bums me out that i dont love Majora. it bums me out because it is the same art style as my favorite game ever (OOT), and its the same Link. but i just dont like it. i like the idea of it, but i dont like the product.

 

Imo it’s like the Super Mario Bros 2 of the Zelda franchise. A cool game, but an entirely different experience

 

That second act at the farmhouse is really strong. Constant feeling of tension and doom.

Majora is a solid game. The time mechanic was really neat for the time and it was cool to explore a place that wasn’t Hyrule. I also loved the mask system.

 

I love Majora. I just hate the time aspect of it.

I’m getting Wind Waker HD for Christmas and I’m hyped. Never played A Link Between Worlds but it’s on my list
