When Jason did that desert island band thing I said Anthony Green with the understanding it would include everything he had done so saosin, circa, TSOAF, solo stuff.
Yeah that year was something special
Did you make this? This is too perfect to be a Google gif.

Get Out, Frozen Creek, Copendium, Dyed In the Wool. Great songs. The rest range from okay, albeit a little boring, to straight up bad (Imaginary Enemy).

Blue Sky Noise was the first indicator that the band was headed on a downward slope.

Me talking smack, getting ready to fight:

Juturna gets its points because A) The sound really hadn’t been done before and everyone expected Saosin 2.0. B) Anthony knocked it out of the park vocally. C) The lyrical content is so ambiguous, yet perfect, I still get different takes on songs today from it.

On Letting Go was Juturna prestiged. I could easily say Living Together is one of my all time favorite openers. The guitar riffs are beautiful, I visualize colors when I hear it like I can’t explain.

Since then: I think BSN is great because the contents are great, but clearly also them branching out as to not repeat what they already did.

I love 5 songs on Violent Waves. The rest of it is ok, nothing terrible.

The other albums.. I’ve listened to. and knowing full well I still love the band, but just can’t fall into the newer stuff like I do those first 4, I simply avoid them to not tire myself ever of the band. There’s also a solid random 5 other songs that I absolutely love that aren’t on LP’s which are:

Resentment (Seriously, how the fuck is this not on a real release yet)
    Suspending Disbelief
    1,000 Witnesses
    The Most Dangerous Commercials
    Handshakes At Sunrise

I really want to like their newer stuff. I listen to every album with an optimistic mindset, but then I’m just bored

Agreed! I find his solo work pretty good tbh. I am amazed at his ability to write so much. Some of it is better than others, sure. But he’s still a consistent artist. Idk why the band seems kind of uninspired the last two albums. Schema is pretty cool, but the rest of the album was nothing like it.
