I dig them, never got too into their work though. I should though, Mike Patton is arguably one of the best vocalists ever.

The last time I saw Thursday, I spent an hour in the back of a cop car and missed most of the show

Seeing Matt play for Blink was so weird, like easily the biggest crowd he ever played for in STL

 

Am I an asshole for listening to Turnover? Like I know about the abuse stuff and I think that was super shitty but I have an attachment to their music getting through hard shit recently. This got pointed out to me recently and it’s been bothering me.

 

I’m not saying this excusing anyone for shitty things they do - and I’m not even talking about the Jesse Lacey thing because I’m not talking about cases that extreme, thats like awful awful stuff...
But i think if we beat ourselves up over every mistake someone else makes, we couldn’t really enjoy any music / movies / TV / entertainment. I dno... like you kind of have to draw your own personal lines.

 

I found this girl on the show floor completely passed out. So I picked her up and carried her to the back of the room, and told some kids to get help. She had a pulse but was totally unresponsive, so I did a sternum rub. She popped up just long enough to puke all over me and then she colllapsed again.
By this time 2 EMTs and a cop showed up. The EMTs started helping the girl, so I handed the purse that was dangling off the girl to the cop. He immediately started yelling at me, demanding to know what I gave her. I told him how I found her, apparently he wasn’t buying it.
He escorted me out side and told me he had to pat me down for both of our safeties, and took my wallet. He held up my license and her school ID from her purse and was like “ listen you’re 25 and she’s in high school. This isn’t going to end well for you. You can help yourself out and save this girls life if you tell me right now what you guys were taking.”
I started telling him my story again, and he just cut me off and said “alright, that’s enough!” and shoved me in the back of his car.
More cops arrived, and I guess they eventually found the girl’s “friends” who were initially to scared to come forward, and they got the actual story. The dick cop came and opened the door and the only thing he said was “I’m cutting you lose.”
I filed a complaint with the police department the next day, but never got any follow up. Also never found out what happened to that poor girl.

Did anyone like Mike Patton’s project Peeping Tom? I saw them open for Gnarls Barkley, it was a super cool show.
