Kinda wan try making some spicy pickles soon. My dad made some a few years ago and they were really good
My preferred brand is Claussen, although some of the other refrigerated varieties are good too. Spicy, garlic, and black pepper are all great flavors.
I am known for having terrible taste in food Claussen brand is one of the reasons I hate them too. My last name is somewhat similar and I got so sick of constantly having to correct people that it’s not spelled or pronounced like that, and of all the pickle jokes as a kid
Where's the "Fuck yeah" vote? Bread n butter pickles suck like someone said in the other thread. Almost all of the others are great. 'Specially spicy garlic ones.
For cheap pickles these are amaze For fancy delicious pickles that are spicy and have a ton of flavor also have a tiny bit of peppers and garlic added, these are the best of all time
Eating whole pickles out of a jar by themselves, no way. Pickles as toppings on sandwiches, burgers, etc. Absolutely.
Personally not a huge fan of the Bread & Butter variety but I do love pickles a lot. Can't have a classic burger without pickles! As @Ken said, can't have a Cuban sandwich without pickles! Can't have a Chicago--style hot dog without pickles! So many great things require pickles to be complete.
I love to buy these and to add extra black peppercorns and let them sit for a few days. I'll eat 'em right out of the jar.
The only bread and butter pickles I like are Amish pickles, and those are one of my absolute favorite kinds period. The super sweet kind with tons of cloves are awful and basically the only pickles I won’t touch.
I am confused by this whole post haha. What makes pickles Amish? I must be missing something. When I see pickles made by the Amish for sale I see all kinds, so I'm really confused.
