Anyway I don’t even rly have feelings on mushrooms so I’m not answering I think I’ve only had a few times. I think they’re tolerable but I don’t particularly like them as far as I can tell
It’s definitely salty so I use it sparingly but it’s umami-y as well, kind of spicy too. It’s really good on a veggie sandwich, I like to sprinkle a little on the tomato.
I don't think I ever like anything with truffle oil. Completely compromises the taste of the dishes I have had it put in.
I avoid any dish at a restaurant that has truffle oil in the description. Especially "truffle fries" which are all too common. The last time I had truffle oil, it came on a mushroom pizza and I nearly threw up. I'll judge the shit out of a restaurant that uses truffle oil.

a little bit is very powerful, it's artificial-tasting, and it has this one dimensional flavor that is really unpleasant. really doesn't taste anything like a fresh truffle.
