I'd say this is true for diners and local restaurants, but fast food places are probably making them differently. Those small places are probably buying mozzarella sticks from sysco or US foods, and there's only a few options those places provide.
just googled Sheetz it kinda looks amazing and awful at the same time the cheesesticks there look like the ones from Sonic though. those kind are really good too.
I for one trust fast food joints to source mozzarella cheese and the same kind of mozzarella that the smelly French men eat
I can’t think of any local places that are 24 hours, no. It’s just not a thing. Near college campuses you might find one or two that are open past midnight, but those are usually pretty terrible and not up to the true diner name. The best diner food we have is super limited in availability.
