do you believe in love at first sight?
not really, no
lust at first sight? absolutely
Yeah I think (some) people mistake lust for love lol
No for people, but I loved my dog as soon as I saw him at the rescue and he loved me too. It was hella tight.
Shit, well, this of course I believe in
I'll accept your maybe in that case
I think love is more of an action than anything so while I believe you can love at first sight I don't think it's a thing that really happens in what the expression "love at first sight" would typically imply
So idk how that means I should vote
Sterling came straight to us as soon he walked in the door and jumped on my girlfriend and started licking her face and then of course we had to bring him home.
ok Ken is the ONLY ONE who can use his pet as an example
the rest of you gotta talk about people
I value personality too much personally but it's always cute when someone says they found her the most beautiful girl in the world and still do 50 years later
Aww When I brought my cat Luna home, she hissed at another cat that I was petting and then walked into the cat carrier at the rescue immediately, like she knew she was going home :’) Matt picked her out online but when I came to pick her up, I like to think she picked me
If the word “love” has any meaning at all anymore, then no it’s not possible to “love” someone at first sight.
I assume the prompt means romantic love, not love for like a child or a pet.
that's a really cute story
mine isn't quite as cute but when I found my cat at the shelter, I looked at her and said "she's the one" and I haven't regretted picking her once
This does make me feel the need to tell this story just cuz of how similar it was
When we were at the shelter in Carrollton looking at cats we saw this cat we liked named Paris, but Paris was claimed by someone else shortly after we arrived at the shelter. We looked at a room full of cats that we thought were pretty but did not really connect with in the same way. As we were leaving the shelter a cat kept meowing at us from the far back of a room, and that cat was Ana (not named Ana at the time). She had been being held by someone else when we were initially looking so we didn't see her as available but once we saw her I knew I had to hold her and as soon as I picked her up she purred louder than any cat I have ever heard and I knew that not only did I pick her at that moment but she picked me too (totally didn't see @alina say the exact same thing before posting this oops lmao)
(this is not my example Travis I just wanted to tell the story)
it means romantic
thus why Ken is the only one allowed to use his pet
thank you for understanding
Pets are the best
it's cute af so I'll allow it
How would you personally vote if you believed the below:
I would think that'd be a "no" just because of what the phrase typically implies but I guess technically you CAN love at first sight? idk
I would say that's a no but I'm not here to tell you how to feel
I'll vote no for now and change it if needed
Love has plenty of meaning, pal.
Don't make me tag your wife in this thread.
she would never come to this hellsite
