I do think aliens are a lot closer to what we are than what we imagine though, I don't think aliens are super technological or whatever; I think we won't ever interact with them and relative to what we will see in our lifetime as a species, we are alone

I feel like it seems absurd that there aren’t any other living creatures in any other galaxy lol

I also think our very concept of “living creature” is extremely limited by our perceptions.

I always think it’s funny when people think aliens would be anything like what we imagine them to be (although I am intrigued by @angrycandy theory of some kind of time travel lol) just because I’m just hyper aware of how limited our creativity is by what we can perceive


Related, did y’all know the color blue “didnt exist” until somewhat recently? Because there wasn’t a name for it. Our brains couldn’t conceptualize it. That’s how I feel about aliens lol

Why do you have to pull out the cool shit? The way color works in general is fascinating and confusing af to me. If something is red, its not actually red, but reflecting red as all the other colors are absorbed by it? Or not?
