Wow this is such a large step up and I absolutely adored Stand Up and Speak

 

This is so good. Kelly is amazing on this. Need the new Wet record.

 

The ending of Baby Baby is absolutely stunning

 

This is fantastic, genre-less stuff.

Still quite a few things to check out today, but this is pretty easily the best of what I've heard so far.

Stand Up and Speak is one of my favorite albums of all time so I'm not gonna try and compare them, but I will say that my first listen was extremely positive. The guys are the best guys.

 

I'm loving the sonic consistency throughout the two albums, even though they are wildly different. Its awesome that there's some common threads in the sampling they use!

 

Honestly can see some of these songs blowing up. Especially the Khalid tracks. Hope it happens.

 

Hearing this in full volume now, just wow.

As I expected, this keeps getting better with each listen. The sequencing is really really good, it ebbs and flows and I'm always excited for the next track.

One of my favorite parts of their last album was how the features they used were total unknowns. For instance I was reading once about how on one track, I believe the title track, they had put an ad on craigslist looking for vocalists and the guy who ended up singing on that track was a bell hop from some random hotel in LA. That shit is so cool. Anyways I was worried that with some more high profile features this would lose some of the magic that the last one had for me. Well I'm happy to report that's not the case, it's still just jerome and samo having a blast making the music that speaks to them. Love these guys so much.

 

Stand Up and Speak is such an emotional record for me. I can literally put on any of those 10 tracks at anytime and I just FEEL something. I've only listened to this album 5 times and it's already having that impact on me. Special special guys.

Just dropped £10 on this after hearing about 30 seconds of 'I Heard' and I'm so glad i did, it is fucking phenomenal. Never heard a single thing they've done besides their work on TLOP, are the rest of their albums like this one or not?

 

stand up & speak and friend of mine are phenomenal in their own right but way different from this and each other

 

Will be checking them both out asap, really loving this album so far ('New Grave' a standout track for me, though literally all of them are 5*). This music is exactly what I need right now

 

i love kevin drew's voice

 

He sounds great here - I've finished the album ('Love' and 'Trees on Fire' 2nd & 3rd fav songs) but it's midnight now and I'm just gonna play 'New Graves' on repeat until I fall asleep!

 

I really love Vic Mensa part in Pick Me Up.
