I don’t know how “gritty Barney reboot” isn’t the most cursed announcement of the day, but here we are.

 

People over at Disney actually saw Welcome to Marwen, right?

 

Still haunts me.

 

I read the title and immediately had that image burst into my brain. I still never allow myself to remember that Martin Landau was involved.

 

This movie gave me terrible nightmares I still recall vividly. I saw it in the theater and can remember sitting there about ten minutes in and thinking “no I don’t like this.”

 

Ohhhhh my god there’s a throwback. Wasn’t this one of those Sunday night movies?

 

I've had six people tag me in that already on FB.

 

I still can't believe that was greenlit and anyone approved being in it... but, hey... money talks? Hope they took an up front check and not go for a royalties only thing because OOOOF.

 

Wasn’t there also a live action Pinocchio with Drew Carey as Gepetto?

I’m down. If it sucks it won’t tarnish the OG for me. Just do something different. Don’t rely on nostalgic jokes/references. Just have a good story, being back old characters, and have fun with it.

 

If the Sanderson sisters are back then I’m down.
