I don’t really get the point of Luci. Bean seems to already be enough of a rebel and doesn’t give much of a shit about anyone else
Really liked the first. Fell asleep during the second last night so I’ll have to start it over. I said something about the elves being recycled from Happy Little Elves from The Simpsons and my wife dead ass had an epiphany and asked if this, Futurama, and The Simpsons are all made by the same people. Who did I marry?
Not sure I laughed at a single thing Luci said. Such a lazily written character, especially compared to his obvious Groening-verse counterpart - Bender. A waste of Eric Andre’s weirdness
Yeah, I really loved this. I liked it enough from the start but it really does get better as it goes along. The cast outside the main three takes a bit to warm up to. King Zög starts off annoyingly one-note but has some depth and sympathy by the end. This is hitting the points that made Futurama so enjoyable to me in a lot of places. There's lot of the same humor, character and narrative structure here. You can tell its by a lot of the same team. Enjoying Mark Mothersbaugh's score a lot, too. Definitely looking forward to more. TV's reviewer actually amended their review after seeing the final three episodes that the critics didn't get. Oh, and there's a post-credits scene at the end if you missed it.
I read reviews that the characters are forgettable or boring, and yet halfway through the first episode, and I was already loving Luci haha EDIT I also really liked Elfo's intro/back story in the first episode
Pretty disappointed I'm not into this, like at all, but everybody seems to be saying it gets better after the first episode so I'll obviously give it a few more until I make up my mind
The dialogue on this just seems piss poor. So much potential but the jokes almost always fall flat, without much distinct flavor to really set it apart.
I still need to watch the last episode, but episodes 7 through 9 are fantastic imo. I only wish Luci had more lines and things to do. If you're going to make a Bender-like character, at least use him like one. Sometimes he just seems more like a side character.
I did notice a wig that was Fry's hair in one of the early episodes. There's a really great Futurama easter egg in the final episode. Blink and you'll miss it kind of thing but its pretty obvious where it is.
Damn, I watched it and didn't notice anything! What was it? Also, really bummed about that cliffhanger they left us on haha
