the movie itself looks great story-wise but it doesn't really look all that great aesthetically. I like you have faith in Spieldberg tho. we shall see
The guy made Jurassic Park and E.T. and Indiana Jones and Schindler's List and Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Jaws and Saving Private Ryan and Minority Report and A.I. and the Fabelmans and Catch Me if You Can. He gets all the benefit of the doubt.
haven't seen a new Spielberg release since RP1 (which i did not like), but that and maybe The BFG seem to be the only so-so to bad films he's made in the past decade, so i'm confident i'll like this
i've been meaning to watch The Fablemans for a bit. only bit i've seen of it is the David Lynch cameo. heard very good things
The Fabelmans and West Side Story both did badly at the box office so hopefully his return to blockbusters works out. Every person here spending their time talking about movies owes it to make the effort to see it in theaters. You wouldn't have fallen in love with movies without him.
i heard West Side Story was good, but i don't gravitate towards musicals as much, and wondered if a remake of he original was necessary. also not a fan of Ansel Elgort still getting roles, even though it was filmed before any allegations dropped
A lot of Spielberg movies I still haven’t seen. Maybe I’ll watch The Fabelmans over the weekend. I watched an hour of it last year and was really liking it but then life got in the way and I never returned. I’ve also been wanting to watch Indiana Jones.
been meaning to show my partner Raiders for a bit. don't think he's fully enthused by the idea of the franchise, but he can at least respect the praise Raiders gets, so i might just show him that one at least, and go from there with the others if he's interested
I've seen almost everything, but still need to get to his more dramatic stuff. The Color Purple, Amistad, Schindler's, and War Horse are my only blind spots.
I have a Steven Spielberg action figure prominently displayed at my house. No one is impressed, but it sets the tone that in this house, we worship at the altar.
It’s a trailer for a movie not out for 6 months that you probably watched on a phone or a computer screen doubt god at your own peril
