If it’s just that modest level of verbal processing while watching a movie, depending on the movie, I think it’s fine and can even be additive. It’s fun knowing the audience is engaged in a genre film.
The best part of The Dark Knight Rises was after Bane breaks Batman's back a guy in the audience yelled "that's gotta hurt!". I feel like he was planning it.
noticing a massive uptick in large groups of broccoli haired teenagers going to movies and being shit heads.
i came out of disclosure day last week and there was a group like 20 deep coming out of backrooms and were kicking the caution wet floor signs over and shit. they almost all had broccoli hair that was dyed blonde too.. yeesh
My theater experience seeing this yesterday was perfect, no talking, no one on their phones, everything was fine. But my experience in the bathroom directly after the movie…nightmare, carnival level experience.
I will say, for this movie, had a group of teens in front of me that were being pretty loud prior to the movie starting, but once it started, they locked tf in. it was nice. my theater was dead silent the whole movie except for the guy next to me that was twitching the whole movie
