For some reason I wasn't expecting production to begin so soon. This is great news.

New flicks from Aster, Eggers, Garland, and Peele this year. What a time.

Are we sure that the Beau movie is what turned into this? The logline that people keep giving for Disappointment Blvd. is “an intimate, decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time” and that doesn’t sound anything remotely like that Beau movie.

The link I posted gives a different description that's closer to the script.

The paparazzi photos from the shooting have a few things that show up in the script ( skid row homeless camp) and his PJ's have the name Beau embroidered on them (I have a guess on what that scene is in the OG script). There's a few other BTS shots of things that are also in the script ( dead body mannequin of a character that dies, another of literally the final shot) and IMDB cast listings that line up with the script.

Trust me, I had a day with nothing to do at work when I read the script and did a bunch of digging lol. I think it's generally the same story, but I'd imagine a few things changed. Also I saw a Reddit post that does work out how that description kinda does make sense

I’m listening to the most recent ep of Little Gold Men (great film award-centric pod) and one of the reporters said he heard that the current cut of this movie is 4 hours long lmao. I can’t imagine it will stay at that length but it’s likely going to be quite long regardless.

I'd watch a 4 hour cut if that's what Ari wants.

Midsommar (both versions) was the rare movie that felt too short despite its runtime.

I wanted to spend more time immersed in that world.
