Hype. Little Bubble is one of my fave songs I've heard this year.

 

Up in Hudson is excellent

 

I'm definitely going to assume that none of the ladies are a part of this release, after hearing 1/3 of the tracks

 

Fair guess, considering 'Up In Hudson' is about the break up with one of them.

 

I really loved this band and there's something juicy about putting out an album about breaking up romantically with your bandmate (is there a better song ever than Silver Springs?!?!) but man in execution I couldn't be less interested in this so far.

 

I just listened to Keep Your Name and Up In Hudson. I love all three of these tracks. I've always been a pretty casual listener before but I think this is shaping up to be fantastic.

 

Yeah I didn't realize that til I read the pitchfork thing, I'll have to go back and focus on the lyrics

I've said it before a thousand times, I'll say it again: the only guitar/rock based music out there that is actually pushing the envelope - interesting and enjoyable, playful and dead serious, artsy, cerebral and also emotional and relatable

Yea so far this is easily my most anticipated of the year. Wasn't even on my radar at first. Was t sure if he was releasing an album any time soon, guess I lost touch with the band. But this definitely has my attention. And "Up in Hudson" is now my early song of the year.

 

Also it may not be intentional but "Little Bubble" definitely reminds me of The Beatles "Here, There and Everywhere". That song has been huge over the last year re: Frank Ocean "White Ferrari"

i thought it was too and yesterday i saw it was the 24th, changed the title. i don't know if i fucked up in the original thread or i saw it somewhere, because i can't find anywhere that says the 10th lol

AOTY contender right here and I want it to hit me with all it's got

 

Damn the new one is so sick. Not sure I like it as much as Little Bubble yet, but it's definitely the most interesting of the 4.
