LOTR series is a classic but The Frighteners is severely overlooked. Such a fun, little movie.

I do not understand why he abandoned the brilliant practical effects of the LOTR trilogy for what he did with The Hobbit trilogy. Which should've been a duology.

Will always be thankful he gave us Sean Astin as Samwise Gamgee. The GOAT.

I haven't seen his pre-LOTR stuff. Heavenly Creatures has been on the list for awhile.

But I adore the first LOTR trilogy. It's magic.

I can't say I am a fan of The Lord of the Rings, but there is so much more care and personality in those movies than the blockbusters and franchises that exist now.

LOTR trilogy is inseparable to me but if you put a gun to my head and made me pick one it would probably be Two Towers. Helms Deep >>>>>>>>>

the Hobbit movies.... we don't speak of those

This is also a man who gave us The Lovely Bones and helped start the career of Neil Blomkamp, so he needs to be viewed with some suspicion.

Meet the Feebles/Braindead for me. Really into his black humor especially.

The Lord of the Rings movie are phenomenal. All three. Gun to my head to pick best, I go with Fellowship theatrical. Almost perfect movie.

They Shall Not Grow Old is also absolutely fucking amazing. Incredible movie.

The Frighteners is fun as hell. Love that flick.

Braindead is fucking crazy and also fun as all hell.

King Kong showed that he took all of the wrong lessons from LOTR.

The Hobbit movies do not exist to me.

I've only seen clips of The Lovely Bones, but the clips I've seen are awful.

i’ve been rewatching the Hobbit movies. so bloated, but there are some nice details on the deeper lore, mixed in with Jackson’s own additions.

His best movie is Fellowship of the Ring. That whole trilogy is pretty perfect.

Not sure if he forgot all his own lessons from it on The Hobbit trilogy or if they just hemmed in his budget a bit but it's just passable.

Actually love his King Kong. Good mix of spectacle and horror.

Heavenly Creatures is a good early film on a very human scale. Kate Winslet is always worth the watch.

The Lovely Bones is a noble failure with some really great visuals at times.

I haven't seen any of his pre-LOTR work. But I loved his King Kong movie when it came out. I'd be curious how it holds up but I'm not sure I want to devote three hours of my time to figure it out.
