yeah, some of them we had demo'd a bunch of times and played live since end of last summer probably. but then about half of them were really new since we had to scrap about an albums worth of songs when we became a 3 piece. we'll probably post the demo's on our bandcamp subscription thing sometime soon and have thought about posting all the demos of the songs we didn't use too (basically an entirely different record)
Heads up, just put the alternate universe Hail Something up for subscribers, "Hail Nothing". They're full band demo's as we never actually recorded the songs, if you're interested.
Yeah it's a dikembe day. Gonna throw on all their records today. I feel like I need to own Broad Shoulders, I'm not much a fan of it but it's their only work I don't own on vinyl.
Broad Shoulders is the ONLY record of theirs i have on vinyl! i need to revisit their later records, i haven't paid much attention to Hail Something. i fell off way hard with this band
Have everything from Chicago Bowls through Ledge on vinyl. Broad Shoulders is prob my favorite and I couldn't get into Hail Something
I love hail something, though I think the vocals are probably their worst. For some reason they're much better on hail nothing. I've never liked broad shoulders, their most boring by a long shot.
I mean Mediumship is the best but I love both this and Broad Shoulders really. I almost always listen to Shelf twice, what a good minute of music
remember when as a website we had the power to leak this record and didn't those were the days, we had CLOUT
Oh it’s amazing. My favorite their songwriting ever was while retaining the cathartic hookiness of Bowls/Shoulders
everyone was so mad they slowed down and twinkled less when it came out lmao not here i don't think but it def happened. wonder what they have planned for the year, been a minute since Hail Something
Oh yeah. I got that Chicago Bowls picture disc and t shirt. Looks great, sounds decent. God I love this band.
