what a couple days for surprise/no promo releases man. can't remember the last time I heard this much fantastic new music over two days

 

The back half of (Referee) is so huge

Might make a run for my AOTY. kinda sounds like Justin Vernon/OPN linked up and got the coolest guy they could find to sing over it lol, extremely special record.

 

I don't know who that is but will check out!

Basically the new Black Country, New Road. If you’re into that. Epic multi instrumental emo.

I’d say the mid point between BCNR and caroline but American?

 

I think the title track/band name track is so phenomenal but really everything I’ve heard from this record is outstanding.


They’re opening for Geese on the tour this fall so they should get some good exposure. Quite the opener. We need an album thread! (I’m lazy)

hell yeah a dijon album. that means one of the best songs I ever heard and then ten incredibly boring other songs

Is it a valid criticism though? How Do You Feel About Getting Married and Sci Fi 1 both have multiple good tracks even if there’s nothing as straightforward as Yamaha or like, The Dress. The Ahbi//Dijon records are also great

 

I found the EPs a bit aimless with 1-2 good tracks.

 

yeah, I completely disagree with that assessment, even including pre-Absolutely material.
