Idk how the Apple interviews with Zane Lowe work re: when video is posted, but the audio of their interview can be found here DIIV: The Zane Lowe Interview Radio Station on Apple Music
Went on bike ride this morning and threw this on. Back half of the record is so good, love all the layering in Little Birds
Yo so if anyone is going to their tour after today and is cool with it, there’s a shirt at the merch booth that I really want and they were out of in my size - I will happily put some money in your pocket and cover shipping if you picked it up at the show for me! In other news I’m waiting for them to go on rn and am fucking HYPED, DIIV forever
Also not just saying this, that was the best show I’ve seen in months, band continues to bring the juice live. Everyone in here should be trying to hit this up for real. If this wasn’t my aoty already it is now
I love hearing that, been wondering how they perform some of these songs live. I feel like with a lot of shoegaze style bands it can be hard to get everything mixed and balanced just right.
Cool article on their guitar gear: DIIV’s Zachary Cole Smith and Andrew Bailey on pedalboard expansionism and shoegaze’s trippy future
My eyes have seen it all Nothing's forgotten I find it's hard to Imagine a shock The rotating villains Profit off suffering A doomsday machine glitch Is our new god The banality of evil Poisons the garden Bearing false witness Sparing no cost Remember they told us The tide lifts our boats up That ocean is dried out And I can't look away
Fender On the Freeway came on in the car and that ending where the cymbal taps match the guitars layering on each other made me want to cry
Ryan! I got the shirt! Haha. A buddy going to the show in AZ tonight hooked me up. Good looking out though homie, hope you’re able to make Toronto!
Hell yeah dude! Glad you were able to get one. My passport came in the mail last week so should be good to go. Haven’t seen them since fall 2019, really looking forward to it!
Caught them in Boston last night for the first time. Everything they played sounded great and it was a well balanced set between new and old. Performance really cemented them as one of my fav bands at the moment.
