Dicks: The Musical (A24, Larry Charles, 2023)

Outside of Borat/Bruno, Larry Charles has an awful track record (although I plan on watching Masked and Anonymous sometime over the next week) and this looks way too Theater Kid-y

 

crazy to see this thing finally come to light. one of my oldest friends produced this and told me about it 4-5 years ago when it was first starting to get pitched. stoked for him and hoping with A24 being behind this that it really gets traction.

didn’t care for this. it’s always *on* and it very rarely comes down from that. most of the jokes are really obvious too. worst part is maybe that even bowen as god isn’t all that funny, either. hope everyone who sees this has a high mullally threshold

Loved this. Nathan Lane’s first scene is the hardest I’ve laughed in a theater this year.

i feel like that was so fast, i saw godzilla minus one on new years day and i saw the poster for it at the theater and now its already streaming

Finally caught this and the sewer boys might be the funniest thing I’ve seen this year. Everything about it was killing me. Although I must mention was incredibly stoned.

This movie has cult status all over it.
