it's so crazy from a birds eye view. Sure, the original series was popular, but by the end viewership dropped significantly, and it ended up being know for flubbing the ending. Then years later, I really don't feel like the show gained a cult fanbase or anything, but they did the one reboot series that was warmly recieved and then it spun into LET'S DO A MILLION MORE. It's all so bizarre to me

 

You kinda gotta respect the transparency in the desperation of just saying you know what fuck it he lives

 

I don’t think they expected New Blood to be nearly as successful as it was, so the thought of killing him off and giving the show a better ending than the original was appealing then. Now they’re going to continue it in an absurd way and it's probably going to keep having all the same problems as the original series lol.
