There’s not much that a show/movie could do to bother me but the end of the second episode made me sick to my stomach.

That being said, I can’t wait to watch the third tomorrow. I’ve got to cleanse my palate with some B99 after that one though lol.

 

I did not realize that Sonoya Mizuno (Lily) was in both Ex Machina and Annihilation!

 

Fuuuckk that was a brutal ending. I wanted scenes from next week but noope sat through 2 minutes of credits for nothing lol

Also, Offerman is killing it. He does such a good job at making you hate him for the shit he does while also making you really sympathize with what made him lose his mind.

 

This is fantastic.

Kenton is terrifying in every scene.

 

When the wreck happened and that suv narrowly missed Lily as she stumbled across the street, I audibly gasped

 

That was such a well done sequence

 

This is 100% my shit. Garland and Villeneuve are my sci fi kings.

 

Wait so is that it? Is there gonna be another season?

 

Still more episodes out each week, but there won't be any more seasons

Lol they only showed 1-4 on the show’s episode page for the last few weeks—usually hulu posts thumbnails and release dates for all episodes

 

Loving every minute of this. I'm assuming Lily's fate will diverge from the projection, so I'm anticipating Forest losing his shit again when that happens.

 

The projection of Joan of Arc getting burned at the stake made my skin crawl.

 

I’m not nearly as into this as some of you. I love garland so I want to love this but I find it plodding

It's definitely slow but interspersed with emotional dramatic moments. That said, I would love if the next episode gave us more answers as to what Forest is actually trying to do with his project.

 

I got caught up on this on Sunday and can confirm it rules

 

Yea knowing a bit more than what they have revealed would certainly keep me motivated. I also don’t feel much of an emotional connection to any of them.

 

I also can see that criticism.

It's a cold unforgiving show to its protagonist, and I still have questions about her. I feel like I'm not seeing the full portrait yet. The first few episodes had me feeling more sympathetic to Lily, and I understood her motivation to uncover the truth. Now, I'm beginning to wonder a bit why she's willing to risk this much. Also questioning if she really is who she says she is.

 

Everything and everyone is incredibly cold - purposefully I realize, but it makes the emotional beats hard for me because they are all so Machine-like

 

Fuck man I thought this was Wednesdays not Thursdays.

I think they are overdoing the whole cars narrowly missing people standing in the road CGI

Still really loving this though

 

Offerman is really killing it with the heartwrenching scenes in this show
