Same. I really enjoyed both Damage and Invented. Very different feeling albums but both really good.

invented is different and so good. Definitely has grown on me a lot over the years.

It concerns me how much I didn't care for Damage considering Jimmy Eat World is a top 5 all-time band for me. I didn't think they'd ever release anything that I wasn't interested in but for whatever reason Damage just didn't resonate with me whatsoever. Like, not even a little bit. Such a bummer that I couldn't get into it.

I love invented. The last two tracks are absolute fire. Pumped for this new one too!!

Honestly Invented and Damage didn't really stick with me save for a few songs on each (although I've never really given the former proper repeat listens). I'd really like to spin this all season.

Trying to like these new songs, but they just scream adult contemporary rock to me. I'm a big JEW fan too.

Yes, "Get Right" is definitely adult contemporary. I've got it on a playlist between Michael Bolton and Celine Dion.

Really like the artwork aside from the funky font.

    Seconded.

The first 2 tracks off this have me stoked for the new one, thankfully.

    Might be Spider-Man...

Artwork is kinda eh, but I've dug the songs they've released. Can't wait!

I'm sure we'll get two or three great b-sides. We always do from them.

Cautiously optimistic. This band is hit and miss for me in the last decade. Futures and Stay on My Side Tonight? Amazing. Chase This Light and Invented? Ok but not great. Damaged? ..Bad..

    DAMAGE.

  23. If CTL was released right now, today, it would be the best pop-rock album of the last 5 years. It's still that underrated.

Dizzy is one of my favorite JEW songs.
