I've never listened to Destroyer before but this album made me an instant fan. I really want to go back and listen to the rest of his discog, but I haven't been able to pull myself away from this one lol.

Could just be a coincidence but does anyone know if he’s sampling or interpolating Ryuichi Sakamoto’s theme from Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence on “Kinda Dark”?

Definitely my favorite album of the year so far. Never been super into Destroyer, but this one seems undeniably awesome to me.

The last song on this reminds me of the National in the best and weirdest way

I’ve been going back to this a lot. Haven’t really found a bad situation to play it during. Probably my second favourite Destroyer record.

Crimson Tide and The Raven are two of my favorite songs of the year...and on ONE album!

I’m really digging this. The whole thing is good but the back half (The Raven to the end) is really strong.

I actually am really digging the new record after not caring really for anything since Kaputt. The singles are somewhat strange choices in hindsight imo, “June” is great but right off the bat I think “Suffer” and “It’s In Your Heart Now” are far superior to the first 2 offerings.
