Yeah a Vex raid would be sweet if only because they’re my favorite “bad guy” and I like the design of their weapon and armor sets. Idk if Bungie plans on rotating raids between the factions or if they just go in with the idea of “we’re just going to make this raid and then see who best fits as the enemy”. Just whatever you do Bungie, no more Taken. No more Hive either. I’d take another Cabal raid over a Taken or Hive raid.
I'm trying to wait until I get to a high enough level to play with you guys, I just haven't had much time to play the last two weeks. I'm still only like 150 and halfway through the campaign lol
It is certainly time for a second Vex raid, especially considering we already had two Hive raids. My big question is with the Warmind expansion, if it has a raid. I'm thinking it'll be Fallen again, probably.
Playing FPS games while pre-gaming in college was one of my favorite things to do. Call of Duty: Drunk Ops back during sophomore year was my favorite. My K/D always suffered but I always had fun.
rly miss my Zhalo Supercell :( come to think of it theres quite a few exotics I miss. Bad Juju, Invective, Thorn, Thunderlord, miss them all so very much. pls give them back to me @ bungie
the content drought is strong now :/ I hope they had heroic strikes back at least. Just seems so odd that theyve made strikes useless. those were always so fun. strike specific loot would also be nice. right now all I really have to do is try to collect exotics, do my weekly reset stuff, crucible and raid. guess I could roll a new character too.
yeah thats true but even that just kind of feels hollow. bummed that the armor/weps are just re-skins but at least the shaders are really cool. idk maybe theyll have some free updates in between xpacs to give us stuff to do. id like to see Prison Of Elders return also
Iron Banner is returning next month so thats good. prestige raid also. just give us heroic strikes while youre at it bungie, we all want them
They're sort of (...sort of) consistently dripping out content in the weeks following release, it's going to be interesting to see how November pans out as they focus on the PC release/promised parity between PC/console content post-release.
Weekly milestones are great right now but once we hit max Power they won't be worth doing anymore other than to get infusion fodder. The raid gear is awesome though, and will require a fair amount of runs to acquire all of, which gives a lot to do. Also the Legend of Acrius quest requires some work. Plus Trials, which is so accessible now thanks to the tokens system, where you could grind wins on the first couple matches and get loot even without going flawless. And now Tuesday we have the Faction Rally, which will be fun. And raid prestige mode, the raid challenges, and Iron Banner still haven't happened yet. I do agree that not having a heroic strike playlist that gives worthwhile rewards is a problem. I still don't understand why they took strike-specific weapons/armor out of he game, although there are lots of things that they took out from Destiny 1 that I'm still scratching my head over so idk. I'm not fully feeling a drought just yet, especially considering I still have a warlock to finish leveling, but I can see how we could be nearing drought-status by the time Curse of Osiris is ready to come out. If CoO doesn't have a raid, though, I don't know what the community reaction could be other than total (justified) outrage. That'll be bad news for the game's image and longevity for sure.
These are all fair points. I guess I just miss D1 so much lol. I love World Of Warcraft and every time we get an xpac or update we can still access the old content we did whereas with D2 we don’t have that luxury. I’d like for them to implement AoT into D2 somehow, just give us the old raids in one big pack and give us some strikes worth grinding. Another issue for me is once we all hit the light cap of 305, or even 300, what’s the point? There’s no more random rolls on weapons and frankly there aren’t even enough worthwhile weapons to farm. Same with armor sets. There’s nothing to chase and the mod system isn’t an adequate substitute.
Yeah I mean we're gonna be able to grind for the stuff that comes in monthly events like IB and Faction Rally but you're right, taking away random rolls really kills the desire to grind once you've reached max power and gotten all the guns you want.
