I threw my disk out my window already But for real, even though we didn't finish I still had a ton of fun the last few days. I said it before, but it's been so long since I've actively played a multiplayer game, mostly due to fear of being awful and bringing a team down, it's refreshing to play with really awesome people and actually get to enjoy an online game for the first time in years.
fuck me i stayed up playing this with another friend trying to catch up. got to 250 and im calling it a night.
Does it take a long time to get from let's say 225 to 270? Seems like I can play for a few hours and only move up one or two, maybe 5 at the most.
The longest/most difficult part of the grind is definitely 260-300. That's when you need to just hope your powerful gear drops in a way that replaces your lowest stuff and gets you up. From 225-265 you can still farm planetary packages, strikes, heroic public events, adventures, and the crucible to get gear that'll advance your Power. You still have a lot of options, that's just where the grind kind of begins!
It's really frustrating at first but once you learn the floor layout and the dogs' pathing you can get through it very easily without even needing the spotters. Just keep practicing!
My cousin was also running the raid last night and said they quit at gauntlet because they couldn't do it. But they did dogs in three tries and the leader of their LFG took down 4 dogs on his own apparently?? I was like WTF your group had the exact opposite experience that ours did
If we had the DPS we could've done them in one phase. With three spore stacks I would've been able to kill mine the first time between my pulse grenades and Merciless if everyone else had been as well. It's just all about getting into position on time and having the right loadout. Just gonna take practice like everything else, but we'll get there!
I think the most frustrating part is our group knows exactly what we have to do, its just a matter of people not getting back to the safe room in time, or the dogs legit bugging out of their cycles or being triggered spontaneously. Its just small dumb stuff that messes us up but its nearly every attempt and we've spent like 4-5 hours on this one section. We'll eventually get it but man is it annoying
Calus is still the most frustrating part to me. Especially because we know exactly what to do, it just needs to play out perfectly or else it's over
Played with a random last night, and we went back to the Farm and he showed me little area triggers that give you perks like run faster or jump higher. Pretty useless, but it was fun just bullshitting with a complete stranger.
tried to do the nightfall last night. definitely needed a third member in our fireteam. we made it to the part right before the drill and got destroyed.
Whatttttttttt that's crazy. Although I suppose that isn't surprising considering how the raid is actually structured. That's pretty cool though that they switch it up.
At least we can get the worst out of the way Does that mean the baths enemies are going to be higher levels now and that section will be more difficult?
sorry ive had to leave the past couple nights. usually when i dont have to work the next day i hold off on taking my medicine because i can just sleep late the next day. but yeah bpd medicine knocks me the fuck out after about 30 minutes. sorry bois. but for what its worth ive had some of the most fun ive ever had in Destiny playing with you all.
I don't think so. I think it's all 260-270 and then calus is 280. But honestly I'm still annoyed that res token are a thing in normal mode. we would have beaten calus that first night had those not been a thing.
I keep meaning to invite you to our chat when we're all on at the same time. I'll play with you sometime later this week if you're on and need to do anything!
It seriously makes no sense to have that be a thing in normal mode. I don't understand the thought process behind it. I can't even imagine how insane the prestige mode is going to be for it.
