Do the exotic world quests, the MIDA and Sturm in particular are great to have if you haven't already. Other than that I'd say try to raid or nightfall, even just doing part of the raid will get you some pretty sweet gear. Idk of you use reddit but r/Fireteams and r/Sherpas are great ways to find groups for either. Sherpas will actually carry you through the raid although idk if any clans are comfortable enough to carry people yet. Aside from that just gotta get lucky but this game is much more generous that D1 was
