Nice. That was a bit slower than the last two I think so that's good! Guessing there's more mechanics involved and it's possibly larger than past raids.
I watched bits and pieces of streams and from that and from what people who have seen the whole thing were telling me (not actually a spoiler but if anyone wants to go in completely blind keeping it under tags) it's EXTREMELY puzzle based, even more so than previous raids were, with a lot of unique mechanics and sections that took a long time to figure out
I live for this shit lol. It's what keeps me coming back to WoW every patch. Love going into raids with my guild and just figuring it all out.
Yeah I saw some of the puzzle based stuff it seemed really fun. I turned it off though because I want to at least try and figure some of them out during the raid
Yep, I saw very small clips here and there but not enough to actually get an idea of what the hell anyone was doing, I was just sorta curious to get the general vibe of the raid.
I saw the tweet from the bungie employees watching people do the raid ending and that was pretty awesome to watch.
The nightfall with 5 minutes remaining. Just the videos I've seen for nightfalls in general look tough, that challenge will be brutal
Awesome! Do you still have the quest? It looks like it's required someone else has this quest in the group to be able to unlock it and everything
Yeah, I haven't done the nightfall yet this week so we can do it sometime. I think if someone has either the gun or quest it counts.
Yeeeeeeeahhhhhh this raid is a toughie for sure. I played for like six hours straight earlier, got to the final boss, and couldn't crack it before everyone had to go to sleep. Scored gauntlets and an energy scout rifle, along with a bunch of tokens to spend at the Raid Vendor that unlocks when you beat it the first time (the vendor's engrams drop more raid gear!). Going to try and finish the run tomorrow.
Running through this raid blind. First encounter took us about 2 hours to complete, but now that we know the mechanics it won't be very hard going forward. Second encounter (pleasure gardens) is TOUGH. We know the mechanics now but haven't even come close to executing. People are going to struggle with this one. Excited to dive back into it soon
its so cool watching the Bungie devs cheer and clap when the first fireteam beat the raid. i cant imagine what its like watching other players run a raid that i created. they seem like theyre genuinely proud of the raid and it looked like fun just sitting in that room eating pizza and watching D2 raiders. gotta hand it to Bungie theyve amended a lot of mistakes from D1 and seem legitimately proud of the game and community theyve fostered.
This is the most unique and interesting raid they've made. The level design and visuals are also incredible. It also is just so mechanically intense that a lot of groups are going to struggle with it. The second encounter (the "Pleasure Garden" or "the dogs" as most people are calling it) can get especially frustrating, just because of what it is. Also the final boss has just as many, if not more, steps to it than Oryx did, so that's just great as well.
had a stream playing in the background at work yesterday when they were on the garden/dogs section. Muted it and checked back in maybe 2 hours later and they were still trying to hammer out exactly what to do. I'm so completely sold on this raid
i still have nightmares of yelling "NO YOUVE GOT TO TAKE THE BALL UP THOSE PLATFORMS DONT BRING IT DOWN HERE" from the Oryx encounter.
