Also does anyone else have wait for the World Eater power weapon special quest I'm probably going to have to look it up.
Regarding the shaders thing, the problem is that they took an unlimited use item and made it limited, then hid the best ones inside of pay-for-use boxes. Sure you get one every time you fill your XP bar after level 20, but you're not guaranteed legendary quality shaders out of them and they come just infrequently enough to entice you to drop money on silver. Also the low-quality shaders you do get a ton of generally don't look very good. So now people are upset that Bungie is trying to persuade us to pay to get the most of an aspect of the game that used to be totally free. People who loved customizing their characters' appearance are especially upset.
I'm kind of disappointed in the raid Power levels being so low. If max light is 350 then the raid should've been 280-300 at minimum. Wonder what they were thinking setting it so low.
Honestly, the shades are sort of insignificant in the game based upon how quickly you change armor and weapons. If thats the only thing silver is good for at this point, then I am personally fine with it. It doesn't change gameplay and I personally have never been a huge cosmetic guy and like the fact that they are sort of saying: "it's here if you want it but it's not at all necessary ".
It may be insignificant to you personally, but a huge portion of the community thinks it's very significant. You may not be a cosmetics guy but remember: literally everything in this game is potentially monetizable. This time it was something you don't care about, but put yourself in the shoes of the people who do care and think about how you'll feel if something you do care about gets monetized like this.
But that's exactly why people want the shaders to be back to unlimited, because of how often you change armor and weapons. For them to change something that was fine in the first basically to get money from it, it rubs me the wrong way. Again, it's a minor problem in the grand scheme of things because everything else they improved on.
Yes, this too absolutely. The constant changing in the early game means you hesitate to apply shaders for fear of wasting them on armor you may not want to keep forever. And then your gear looks all mismatched.
I get it but it doesn't change gameplay. There are quite a few things they changed from the first game and it also just came out so I am sure there will be MANY changes based upon feedback from the community.
I mean I didn't get into destiny 1 until the taken king expansion and I was still able to go back and play the original couple raids. I needed to use a companion site to connect with people who wanted to go back and play them because raids didn't have online matchmaking tho edit: I guess they're adding in a feature for people to be grouped into clans that are short the required amount of people for raids later this month
I think I'll be close, maybe. Depends on how much time I can play tonight. I'm at power level 233 right now.
I remember this when they did the big announcement and conference for the game. It's nice they added that feature.
