Wow, that is pretty interesting. I don't think it has to do with the raid, though. The only reason why I say that is because of that item that drops into your power weapon inventory after the campaign that asks you to get five pieces of Cabal intel on Nessus. When you do that, the next step says the "wait for the arrival of the World-Eater." Combine that with the adventure on Nessus called "Invitation from the Emperor" and it really seems like the raid is going to take place on that ship from the concept art (and also your Guardian's vision at the beginning of the game) and the final boss is going to be Emperor Calus Also I wonder how his arrival in the system is going to affect the storyline, like if there will be any quests leading up to the raid or if it will literally just be like VoG where it's made available and you just go. I feel like with something like that appearing suddenly there has to be at least one or two missions leading up to it, it would be weird if there weren't..
So after two days of hardcore grinding, I'm at power level 279. I feel really good about it. Can't wait to power through the milestones on Tuesday to see how high I can get before the raid drops. Either way, I think 280 is almost as good as it's going to get before this raid drops. I wonder what the recommended power level is going to be. Since I don't start my new job until Monday, I'm trying to decide if I should start my second character next or try to grind for exotic engrams and get a Skyburner's Oath before the raid launches. That thing is probably going to be really useful in the raid, really wish I could get it.
I'm only level 9, I need to do some serious grinding this weekend to get raid-ready. Titan is such an awesome place. It looks so cool.
I'm in love with this game. Haven't even played my first strike yet(I'm lv7), but I love all the added activities in patrol. Vast improvement in that regard. The lost sectors are a nice little touch.
Finished the story. It's pretty good overall - starts really strong, middle is fine but nothing special then ends pretty strong even if (late game spoilers) I'm kinda sick of fighting on Cabal ships. I never got to a point where I cared about the actual story very much but there's some good missions in there. Now the real loot grind begins! Really excited to dig into the patrol zones some more, that's been the most impressive improvement in the game.
Bungie announced like last week it would be live on the 13th. Also the This Week At Bungie lays out a roadmap for September. Hoping they do this every month. This Week At Bungie – 09/07/2017 > News | Bungie.net
I wanted to play these game wth family and friends but like my both my cousin and brother grinded to level 20 on the first day. they stink.
I did a good amount of the side content (Adventures and did a lot of public events), hit 20 maybe 2/3 of the way through the story. It's not REALLY short but it's not a super lengthy campaign or anything. It's maybe a dozen hours long? But this is Destiny, most of the meat of the game is after the story - you unlock A TON of new activities towards the end of the game and after the campaign is done.
details of the first DLC leaked but I don't want to post because all the link titles I'm seeing could be spoiler for some people.

One piece of advice I'd definitely give is to get to a level 20 as soon as possible. You'll want to start earning bright engrams for cosmetic gear as early as you can.
Oh also, Adventures can be tedious (especially when you've outgrown their rewards) but a few of them have sweet teases for future story content. Specifically on Titan and Io. Also one of the Adventures on Nessus heavily telegraphs the raid.
level 13 on PS4 gonna try and get to 20 this weekend at some point so i can start doing strikes and such. my PSN is CoffeeEyes17 if any of yall want to add me im down to do w/e
they could be trying a WoW type thing where major xpacs dont come with raids and instead theyre "activated" at a later date. maybe the files are in the xpac but it just wont go live until like a week or so after? idk.
