Yeah! I'm so happy a lot of people on here have it. I never did any of the raids in the last one due to lack of people I knew
i very much enjoyed Destiny......for about 3 months and then content drought kept me from playing again. I love games like WoW and Warframe and Destiny seemed to be a combo of those but as an FPS. Unfortunately it didnt quite live up to what I had in my head, maybe that was my own fault. The raids were fine but very difficult when playing with strangers, which I often did using the Destiny subreddit to find people, the PVP was really really fun but again it just wasnt enough to keep me coming back. I'm also a huge nerd when it comes to making my characters in games look cool, Destiny kinda delivers that but the customization options were limited and there werent really that many armor sets. At the very least the classes themselves were really neat and the expansions did add a lot to the game and made it feel like an actual game instead of "kill these 5 mobs for 1000 hours and hope for the best". Looks like Bungie has taken a lot of the criticism of D1 and improved on them. Seeing lots of praise and love from people on the subreddit and twitter. Hell, I got some overtime this week so I'll pick it up later tonight. I'm excited to jump back into it.
Apparently Hunter's suck this time around but I'm still a hunter because I love bouncing around the place. Melee, dodge that refills melee, dodge again is too good to pass up.
I hate warlock jumps more than anything in Destiny so I am going to put off making one for as long as possible.
I'm playing on Xbox. I'm not sure how group playing works if I'm level 5 and others are 15, but hey, I'm on. GT is colorlesscliche
Your story for Destiny is quite similar to mine. I originally bought my PS4 just to play the game when it was still an exclusive. It was that much of a draw for me. After awhile, I found myself bored because there weren't many to play with at that time and none of my friends had it overall. It was repetitive before the expansions came out So I stopped playing, and never bought the expansions. The lack of major story made it seem like it wasn't that fleshed out. I was about to order it with Amazon Prime, but... Apparently Amazon has gotten rid of the 20% discount in the two week release period. It's only for pre-order nows, and not large titles like Destiny and Call of Duty. I don't know if I can justify the purchase right now.
Played for a few hours today. I'm level 7, and I'm really enjoying it. Spent most the time wandering, did lost sectors, and a couple adventures. So far, so good.
Played about two hours, and loving it! Had a nice Crucible match too. We lost, but towards the end I was getting a feel for the faster combat/map layout. Went Warlock.
the first hour or so of the story is already way more emotional and interesting than anything that happened in D1
I love the part where you come down the mountain and the landscape is breathtaking and the score just matches everything perfectly. So good.
I have a pretty large group of people that I know that I've played games with forever that do a ton of raiding. Add me! iSeeKyle. Anyone with a PS4, feel free to add me!
what got me was when I found Nolanbot and I couldnt help but get a little choked up at how devoted he was to finding my guardian. also i LOVE how Bungie recognizes how stupid the Speakers "I could tell you" dialog is by having the new bad guy say "For a speaker you dont say much" or something to that effect. also i love how they mock the "I don't have time to explain why I don't even have time to explain." line and how asinine it was.
