I still don't know what class I want for my first/primary character. I dabbled in everything in the first game but mostly played my Hunter, kinda thinking Titan this time around.
I'm going Hunter. I started Warlock in D1. Never really got into Titan, probably because 4 out of the 6 in my group were titans.
I think part of the reason is Destiny's weekly schedule. Things occur on the weekend and they didn't want that stuff to just be available right away.
It was originally scheduled for Friday but they pushed it up two days to give time to sort out any launch issues before the big first weekend. It's still kinda weird because they could have went back another day and have it come out on Tuesday like most other games (and should have because I want to play this RIGHT NOW)
Some spoiler-free level-up guides. Most important points: -Engrams get their light level at the moment they're picked up, not when they're decoded like in Destiny 1. This is important to remember. -Once you reach character level 20 (the cap) and Power Level becomes more important, the first plateau is Power Level 260. -Any activity that isn't labeled as rewarding "Powerful Gear" will drop rewards that can be up to 260 Power. -Gear is "smart" once again and will drop according to your current best possible Power Level based on all the gear on your character and in your vault. -As a result, you do not want to complete any activities awarding "Powerful Gear" until you have gotten to Power Level 260. "Powerful Gear" is the only gear that can go above 260 to the pre-raid cap of 300. -If you earn "Powerful Gear" engrams before you've gotten to 260, you've wasted one of your only chances to get above-260 gear before the raid drops. -Since this week and the next reset on Tuesday are your only chances to get Powerful Gear before the raid, you don't want to waste any of them by earning the engrams before they can drop above 260. It looks like the ultimate Power cap for vanilla Destiny 2 is 350. We will probably be able to get 325 with the Normal raid and then 350 with Prestigious mode or whatever they're calling it this time around. This probably means the Power cap could be raised to 400 with Curse of Osiris and then 450 with the Warmind DLC. Although I could also see them only going up 25 Power levels with each one too, and then save a big bump for next September when we might see another large, TTK-sized expansion. That would bring it up to 500. But that's all speculation on my part obviously.
Also sorry for the triple-post but I'm going to re-enter by PSN gamertag for anyone that wants to add me: APD1026
