This might be the most poorly organized release I've ever seen, at least on the store side of things. Gamestop has told me 4 different times. First midnight. Then 10pm. Then 9pm. Now they say 11pm. How hard is this?
Well, that sounds like a GameStop problem not a Bungie/Destiny 2 problem. Also, let's be honest, GameStop has never really been "organized".
My understanding is that GameStop can give you the game early but it won't be live until it's midnight in your region. So if you're in the States, the servers won't be live until midnight on the east coast, no matter what time it is anywhere else in the country. So even if you have a physical disc at 9:00 p.m. EST, you won't be able to play until midnight. Could be wrong though, again that's just how I'm understanding it.
Yeah the problem is I want the most time to install what I need to. I have be on the bad end of slow Destiny installs and server crashes too many times. I just want to be able to play some a midnight before I need to go to bed.
Yeah that sucks. GameStop has been selling a lot of stuff at 9:00 p.m. the night before instead of midnight recently though, so I imagine there's a good possibility of it happening for D2. Or they may be waiting until midnight because of the server thing. I'm also just not totally sure in general because I got it digitally so I haven't been dealing with GameStop at all throughout this process.
I tried joining, but I didn't see where. I'm wondering if i have to leave the old AP clan first. I didn't see an option for that either.
Yeah, you'll have to leave via computer or PS4 browser. Viewing on phone and small screens doesn't give you all the options.
