This is pretty good. Like others have mentioned, the time frame of a lot of it is quite vague. Like "We're gonna rework the mod system and it should be ready in February but might not happen til spring" which makes me think if they push it to spring, they'll push it AS FAR as they can into the spring, probably May. I also feel that mods should be completely removed from Eververse based on what they said about being "sensitive to pay-to-win outcomes". Pretty simple if you ask me. Improvements to raid loot is a huge plus imo. One little QOL thing that I really like is adding is fire team member locations to the map on all destinations.

Even after all the great stuff they're planning on implementing, I feel its all too little, too late for Bungie at this point, in terms of regaining trust/positive outlook from the fanbase. They've left a bad taste in a lot of mouths, including my own.

 

I feel like I’m pretty forgiving on this game because I never played Destiny 1, so all the updates and improvements we’re getting sound great to me. As long as they keep supporting it, I’ll probably keep playing it.

 

I started day one with vanilla D1 so the whole repeating of history is pretty damn tiring at this point.

 

Yeah the fact that the literal exact same timeline is happening all over again is astounding. The second DLC is even going to get delayed into May most likely, so they can include more fixes to the endgame, just like what happened with House of Wolves! With a more comprehensive overhaul coming in the fall, just like TTK! It's enough to drive everyone insane.

Lol no Eater Of Worlds Prestige mode until the new DLC launches, nice. This is a healthy game from a competent developer.

 

Wasn't it only like a week between the Leviathan and the drop of its prestige mode? Thats laughable if they wait that long. .....Also another month for updated Nightfall. I tried 2 manning it last night (like we could manage to do in a lot of D1 NFs) and failed so badly even though we're both max light and competent at the game. Just needed more time to grind through the spongy enemies. The new system for that can't come soon enough.

Overall I feel like they have the update schedule wrong to a certain degree. They need to push out all their big changes ASAP. Waiting until season 3 for extended vault space and sparrow/ship collections is a huge misstep and a lot of people have had nearly full vaults since the beginning of season 2. Thats been a huge QOL issue for a while now that people have been vocal as heck about. I don't really get it. I am glad to see changes coming eventually though

 

There are certain features that I feel like need the extra dev time because they apparently are so out-of-touch that they didn't even think to include them from the beginning, but there is really no excuse for the Eater of Worlds prestige mode being held back for S I X M O N T H S after the Lair launched. The most they've ever, ever gone between normal and hard/prestige was, like, a month. Unless they're developing an entirely new, full set of weapons and armor for it, I don't understand the delay. And even then, six months is absurd. That means there is literally going to be zero new endgame PVE content until May. And even then, nobody is going to want to do it because it's arriving the same day as the new DLC (which is also going to include a new Raid Lair only a few days later). Pure insanity.

Also, does that mean the Prestige for Raid Lair 2 isn't coming until the September Expansion? What kind of sense does that make?

They had better have something revolutionary coming in September, because no exaggeration this franchise is dead otherwise. It may even be tarnished beyond repair already. And I've never wanted to use that language in the past, because it's always been hyperbole, but the slow and painful death of this game is evident in the Twitch numbers and the YouTuber/Streamer exodus to other games. This is very, very bad.

 

Looks like they rolled out an announcement for Crimson Days:

- 2v2 Clash with a re-skinned Burning Shrine map and matchmaking is available.

-A far better reward system than The Dawning aka nothing locked behind Tess and Crimson engrams can't be bought with silver.

-When you earn a reward (such as a helm), its eliminated it from the loot pool of Crimson Days engrams so you won't get 50 of the same pieces of gear like what happens to me with exotics all the time.

- Also noteworthy is that completing certain milestones will actually grant you SPECIFIC gear/emote/ornament at completion...... so that means finally some rewards that aren't based on RNG and pure luck.

Theres a good chunk of stuff in there but these are the big things I pulled from it all. Looks pretty cool imo and the right way to do these time sensitive events. Also 2v2 will be interesting to see with the state of the crucible.

 

The structure of Crimson Days is very good and fair to players but Bungie doesn’t get a pat on the head for doing something the way it should’ve been done from the start after 2.5 years of microtransaction-focused live events.

Also I wouldn’t care if Event Loot Boxes could be bought with silver as long as they’re also earnable in-game. If some people want to blow money on boxes, they should be able to so long as people willing to grind can earn an endless amount and there are no duplicates (which they’ve done here).

 

People are getting so lazy with these fake leaks. This may be the worst one yet.

I'm definitely going back to play the DLC since I already paid for it, but to get me to pay any more money beyond that, i.e. in September, they had better pull off another Taken King-level of improvement to the game, at minimum.

 

They will somewhat renew your trust this sept and then the same song & dance in 2019 of disappointment. But this time, they get you to buy Destiny 3 on PS4 one year, and then on PS5 the year after. :(

Still haven't picked up Destiny 2. I'll probably get it whenever it's bundled with the major expansion that'll be announced at E3.

I've been so caught up in God of War the past week. I doubt I'll be done enjoying that game by the 8th and I'm not feeling the same excitement I used to with previous DLC drops for Destiny and I doubt I'm the only one in that club.
