Ok.

First, the top damagers in Goth's group were using the head beams and then switching to cluster bomb rockets. So that could be the loadout, but I do want to see how that sniper does.

Have to have three charged crystals on the platform the shield is going to break in front of, in addition to whatever needs to be charged to break the shield. Everyone converges on the right spot, you break the shield, and then do DPS, avoiding the capture beams he sends at you.

When DPS is over, you have to stop the auto-wipe by breaking one pair of points on the boss: face/head, left/right arms, left/right back. Whole teams needs to focus one down and switch to the other.

Repeat the process. You have four damage phases to kill him before you can no longer stop the auto-wipe mechanic.

Goth's group is on-pace to kill him in four phases.

 

I like how they made this the kind of fight that you can end early if you're strong/efficient enough, just like Calus. Keep the bosses like this Bungie, pleaseandthankyou.

One thing Bungie seems absolutely intent on doing is making it increasingly impossible to LFG these raids lol

So, they didn't design a "new" set of raid weapons, they just filled out the ones that were missing originally. One of the other members of Goth's team got a shotgun. That's pretty disappointing, means they intentionally held that stuff back from the OG raid because of the Lairs.

 

Lair seems cool, missed a lot of the end encounter/boss mechanics though. Definitely want to try it this weekend but I'm worried I didn't get my power level up high enough (read: barely at all, I think I'm like 313?).

Goth/Broman's team must have missed World's First by literal seconds. Feel bad for them, everyone was stoked that they got it.

Deej said the difference was seven minutes. Brutal. Apparently one of the members of the fireteam said on Reddit that they were just a random group that met on an LFG last night. Crazy.

 

Hahaha damn that sucks for them but awesome for the randos!
