Also down for tonight. Probably the only time I’ll ever do the whole raid in one go, might as well make sure I reap all the rewards.

 

My PS4 ain’t even plugged in and I probably won’t play D2 again until after the first DLC

ALSO the PC launch has been a disaster. Thousands of unwarranted bans, people demanding refunds, losing their BNet account, plus a ton of bugs that have popped up. God damn. The forums are hysterical

 

Chalk up a W for us console plebs.

 

According to Bungie they only banned 400 people. Reddit blew everything out of proportion as usual.

 

I think the problem is more that A) People were being banned as soon as they logged into the game, B) Banning is permanent and there is no process to appeal it, and C) Bungie has been lying about a "rigorous verification process" that they allegedly use before banning someone, essentially saying that anyone who has been banned deserved it (even though, again, there are people who were banned just for trying to log into the game).

It's just another botched Bungie launch with another horrible Bungie response. The optics aren't good, even if it is just 400 people, because at least a few of those 400 people did nothing wrong and have now wasted $60 on a game they might never be able to play unless they can somehow get Bungie to overturn their bans.

 

Pretty crushed right now. Spent 4 hours doing the raid to get our one friend who hasn't beaten it through it. He literally got weaseled 30 seconds before we killed callus and he didn't get the raid completion. Disheartening to say the least. He doesn't want to do it again

Based on all the notes from the PC launch, ill wait a bit. Have OW event to get through, Shadow of War, Original Sin 2 etc etc

 

I like a lot of what they said but I'll still take it with a grain of salt until changes are actually made. But it does seem that they're aware and keeping up with the biggest criticisms the community has had over the course of the game's life so far (Private matches, better incentive for activities & Prestige Nightfall/raid). The inclusion of season is hopefully going to curb the need for major content between DLC releases too.

 

I have a couple of buddies i met on D1 that are wanting to do the raid for their first time tonight. We have 1 spot open and are gonna shoot to start at 6:30pm CST if anyone is on and needs to or wants to run with us.

 

The fact that private matches aren't coming until "Early 2018" is a literal joke. I mean, it was a joke they weren't there at launch but to not get added for so long after is even crazier.

All those changes are necessary and good though. My only concern is that we won't be seeing any of them for a looooooong time. Like, Datto posted a video yesterday reacting to the TWAB and he basically said "yeah it's possible we don't see some of these changes until next September, considering how long it took to completely revamp the original game with TTK." And D2 needs a revamp that is basically almost to the same degree as TTK was to vanilla D1 in many areas. It's definitely a worrying thought for fans.

it's mostly the pessimist in me in regards to destiny, but wording it as "new raid content" makes me think it's some sort of content relating to leviathan, not a new raid
