Hell of a performance for both songs

 

If rappers start making rap metal music, will it be cool? Honest question.

 

Why does it have to be metal? Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit clones would suck, but if Denzel put out a rock album with a similar vibe to his RATM cover, then I'd be all for it, absolutely. But if a bunch of hip hop artists began doing it, the coolness of it would get old pretty quick, I think.

 

I was generalizing the genre as “rap metal.”

 

Right. But when I hear "rap metal" I think of Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park in the early 2000s. If someone like Denzel put out an album with hip hop and rock influences, I'd hope it wouldn't be lumped with "rap metal."

I'd recommend Hyro Da Hero's album which featured members from At The Drive In and Idiot Pilot.

 

I still play that one Idiot Pilot song every now and again.

 

Hyro Da Hero was rad. I saw that he's back doing stuff again, I wonder if it's cool.

And coincidentally... they just announced their comeback!

 

Didn't know about this! I thought he was done with music for good. This day keeps getting better

 

i've listened to the first 3 tracks, and they're pretty solid! excited to dive into this.

 

From the few snippets I've listened to, this seems to be much heavier than his debut. It's going to be a blast!

Basically metal delivery over trap beats. They opened for Denzel on his tour for this album and it's actually one of the biggest mosh pits I've ever seen at any concert
