put this on on the drive home cos I get off at midnight. absolutely staggering album, production and rapping are a quantum leap forward on this one. he fucking killed it
shout out to Mental for scaring the absolute shit outta me last night cos I was driving home in the dark and thought the baby crying noise was outside my car
Wow, this is wild turn towards a more introspective feel that I would not have expected from Denzel. Certainly a lot to chew on here, feels like an even more well executed version of TABOO. Not one complaint yet, every song has been incredibly well thought out and essential
Quite good this. I know i'm alone with this, but I could do without the T-Pain song. Or maybe it's just his part I don't like. I dunno. Rest of the album is solid, though. Can definitely see it getting more listens.
On John Wayne now this is great thus far. It almost sounds like they’re sampling Ice Cream in Melt Session #1
This is amazing, easily Denzel's best rapping ever and the production really fucking hits. Taboo is a very special album to me so I'm not sure if this tops that for me yet but it's certainly close, definitely a close second for now. I could see it topping it eventually though, I've already listened three times and I've liked it more each time Love that he always keeps his projects brief and to the point and doesn't overstuff them, and that he always follows a set theme or aesthetic. Easily one of the best rappers to blow up in the second half of the 10's, if not the best
