Dylan actually already mentioned 2 of the restaurants I was going to say lol but if you're a fan of steak, Guard & Grace is by far the best steakhouse in Denver and one of the best I've been to anywhere. It's right in the heart of downtown Denver
If any of y’all listen to Local 303, you’ll be hearing my song a bunch this month: The Local 303: Colorado artists we’re featuring for October 2024
Denver friends! I may be moving soon and haven't lived anywhere close to the metro area in a long time. I'm fairly introverted and don't want to live right in the middle of shit but it would be nice to have a light rail nearby ish to go to shows and stuff. I also have family on the east side, Brighton and Aurora area and I don't need to be super close to them but somewhere nearby would be a plus. Are there places you'd avoid? Suggest? Probably looking to rend a 1B or a studio for now. I've lived in Wash Park which was cool but not my speed. Also Lakewood and Arvada, all of these places like 10 years ago. I liked Arvada and am thinking about that since that light rail is open finally.
If you're wanting to be on the East side of town, Aurora (North of Alameda, along 225 corridor), Central Park, and to a lesser extent Park Hill, would be good spots that also have quick light rail access. Arvada is also a good spot, like you said, with that light rail line open now. I would avoid RiNo if you're not wanting to be in the middle of it all, as that area has been completely built up now, although it does have the best venue in Denver now, Mission Ballroom. Edgewater is a cool area with Sloan's Lake and plenty of good food, but lacks quick light rail access.
West Colfax/Villa Park is a good option that gets you near Sloan’s and a light rail line. It’s maybe closer to the Broncos stadium than you want, but I never noticed it getting too crowded on game days. Plus that stadium will probably get torn down after the Broncos move.
Are you wanting more suburban feel or still in Denver proper just not in downtown/RINO/Highlands? I think Maxs suggestions are good, plus if you’re in park hill or Central Park we’d be neighbors! Lowry and Fitzsimmons area would be good too. I love where we’re at in Park Hill. We’re 15 minutes from basically everything except the far ends of the metro. We’re 2 minutes away from the A Line for the airport, right off I70 and close to both 25 and 225, and a short uber or drive to all the venues except the Gothic and Red Rocks.
i was not a fan at all of living on the corner of a busy intersection in Washington park, honestly something a little quieter would be more my speed. Park hill looks cool!
