What’s so good about Deftones is something that only a handful of bands have done. Such consistent releases on a sound that is really only theirs makes for this allure that no matter what they decide to do, the fan base is ready to love it. They could stay in form or go completely left field, and we’ll like it either way because these guys together create something that’s only theirs every single album.

my fav song of all time. I don't think it's a stretch to say it opened up entire worlds of music, there are fuckin so many bands that have been directly inspired by that song and what came after it

This might seem obvious because it's the record between the two, but listening to Koi No Yokan today, it actually feels just as much like a companion piece to Gore as it does to Diamond Eyes

I could use some new album news.

 

They are playing a Festival at the end of August. Hopefully that means recording will be wrapped up and the record might even be ready.

 

They’ll announce the album is complete and will be available this fall!

 

A Deftones fall release would be ballin’.

 

Always associate Saturday Night Wrist with the fall thanks to it's October release. They're a great band for the longer nights/gloomy skies.
