Gore is breathtaking, anyone excluding it from their dynasty of near perfect albums gonna catch these hands

 

I like Gore enough, but it never fully clicked with me and is easily my least favorite of their last 3.

 

Honestly I'd hear arguments for any of their albums being their best aside from Adrenaline. I personally don't think Gore is as strong as the previous two albums but goddamn it has some incredible tracks.

I've probably said it before, but I can't think of any other bands who have been around this long who have kept up such a consistently good output.

 

I’ve got my issues with Gore, but does anybody else find it tedious and annoying how all the press around the album emphasized the perceived conflict between Chino and Steve?

Like, I dunno - they’ve been a band for 20 some years, maybe they’ve actually figured some shit out?

 

I wonder how soon into 2019 we get new music?

 

My favorite album changes regularly between SNW, Diamond Eyes, and Koi No Yokan.

 

koi no yokan and gore are my favorite deftones albums

 

If their recent posts indicate they're in the studio now, or possibly recording, it's likely gonna be a summer or fall release.

I’m p sure they started recording a couple months ago. I remember there being updated back then on ig in the studio. Maybe they finished it!?

 

Won't complain about any earlier of a release window.

white pony is what I always say is my favorite, but I definitely listen to KNY the most.

 

Chino keeps himself busy, and Todd is always writing. It wouldn't surprise me to hear something in the next couple years.

 

I find that SNW and KNY are my two that I like most to listen to sequentially from track 1 and never skip anything.

 

Diamond Eyes and KNY are probably the ones I listen to the most.

 

I read somewhere that the material for the next album so far is considerably heavier than the stuff on Gore. That's exciting.

 

Supposedly it’s mostly Steph-driven. Last time that happened we got S/T and ATF. Can’t wait.

 

That's because they released it as three separate EPs first, and then as a full-length.
